The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a prestigious national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to India's premier engineering institutions including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other top engineering colleges across the country.

Key milestones in the JEE examination process
The official notification and application forms are released on the NTA website. Students can register online and fill in their details, upload documents, and pay the application fee.
Admit cards are released approximately 2-3 weeks before the exam date. Students must download their admit cards from the official portal using their application number and date of birth.

Understanding how your performance is evaluated
JEE Main uses a percentile-based scoring system to normalize scores across different sessions. Your percentile indicates the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below your score.
Since JEE Main is conducted in multiple sessions with different question papers, NTA uses a normalization process to ensure fairness. The normalization accounts for variations in difficulty levels across sessions. Your percentile is calculated based on your performance relative to all candidates who appeared in that session.
